Dr. Gearhart received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology. In 2014, he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Missouri - Columbia, where he was an assistant for outpatient orthopedic testing and diagnosis to graduate students. He then went on to complete a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Orthopedic Physical Therapy at the #1 ranked physical therapy school in the United States - Washington University St. Louis.

Dr. Gearhart also has advanced manual therapy training with the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy and is considered an expert in orthopedic physical therapy.​

Dr. Gearhart's special interests include the treatment of shoulder, hip, and low back pain, spinal disorders, sports injuries, manual therapy, tennis-related injuries, running injuries, and solving complex patient cases that have failed other treatment approaches. He prides himself on getting his patients better faster, by using the most current evidence-based interventions, and doing what is best for the patient’s goals.

His core belief is that it is not about the physician, the physical therapist, or the insurance company: it is about what is truly best for the patient. Dr. Gearhart resides in Kansas City, MO, and enjoys promoting a healthy lifestyle, exercising, playing tennis, reading, and spending time with his better half Sarah and dog Remy.
