Jay was born and raised in the KC area and has been working in the fitness industry since 2015 when he began teaching yoga after discovering how healing movement could be. After beginning CrossFit in 2016, he became passionate about preventing and treating injury while continuing to pursue the improvement of overall fitness and health. Dr. Alexander takes a special interest in management of chronic spine-related conditions, headache/jaw pain, and running-related injuries. Jay is also passionate about making healthcare and fitness more inclusive and accessible for the LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and other communities that have previously been overlooked or excluded.

Outside of V6, Jay has been coaching classes at The Hill KC since 2018. In his free time, Jay loves to travel, read, spend time with his family and black lab Kygo, and run an occasional marathon.
